Training

I believe in tapping into the wisdom of a group whenever I facilitate learning events. Good training isn’t just about the facilitator imparting knowledge, it’s about creating spaces for people to connect, collaborate with and learn from each other.

I have been designing, delivering, and evaluating training, learning and development courses and programmes for almost 30 years. In that time, I’ve won several awards for my work, including winning a transformational HR award for my work on a “gold standard” leadership programme (The Leadership Academy) at a London council.

Three ways to work with me

1. Ready-to-go courses

I have six ready-to-go courses:

How to build a high-performing team: This is my flagship and most requested course. We explore the key characteristics of HPTs and dig into managing others, managing the business, and managing ourselves.

The confident coaching manager: A practical session where participants will learn the fundamentals of coaching and come away with three useful coaching frameworks to use in their teams.

Powerful feedback conversations: We explore the psychology of feedback – why we sometimes avoid it. Participants will learn about and practice useful techniques to help them have meaningful and helpful feedback conversations.

How to lead change: A highly practical and popular course where participants learn how to support, engage, and motivate employees. Change doesn’t have to be painful!

Wellbeing and resilience – The foundations for performance: Participants will explore powerful tools and strategies to help them develop resilience, look after their wellbeing and support the wellbeing of their team.

Organisational development programme: This two-day programme is aimed at in-house HR, OD and L&D practitioners wanting to enhance their impact in their organisation. This is a highly practical programme where participants deepen their consultancy skills.

2. Bespoke workshops

I work with organisations to deliver workshops and events that bring together groups of leaders and managers. Most typically, this is off-sites and away days for management and leadership teams wanting quality time and space to explore, discuss and reflect on important topics.

A recent example is a leadership off-site focused on accountability and leading change with the top 100 leaders in the operations department of an organisation in the finance sector.

3. Mini masterclasses

Maybe time is short, or maybe you have a limited budget, or maybe you know your managers have short attention spans. Or it might be all of these! Whatever the reason, the mini masterclass is seen by many organisations as the ideal learning answer. These 90-minute online sessions are short, sharp and always on point.

Examples of topics I have delivered masterclasses on include:

  • Powerful coaching conversations
  • Influence and negotiation
  • Healthy productivity
  • Leading creativity and innovation
  • Feedback skills
