Hayley is the founder of HALO Psychology, a consultancy using deep expertise in the field of psychology combined with first-hand experience of leading successful multi-million pound services to help public sector managers improve, perform, change and transform.

Hayley and her network of associates are qualified psychologists and/or organisational development practitioners, all using a positive and strengths-based approach to their delivery.

Known for getting things done and for being a trouble-shooter.

Her ability to cut through all the noise and quickly get to the heart of what is going on is one of the things that others have said sets her apart.

Indeed, “laser focused” is a term that’s been used by many of her colleagues over the years when talking about Hayley’s strengths. This is why she has had so many brilliant opportunities to lead and transform different types of services, from customer services, to strategic ICT, to communications and digital transformation. It’s also why she’s been asked to help with organisational reviews by bodies such as the Local Government Association.  You can check out Hayley’s LinkedIn profile if you want more detail.

A cross between a high-beam torch and a mountain guide

Hayley is regularly approached public sector managers facing tough problems with performance and people. Her experience means she can help shine a light through the fog, to help you create a map to develop your skills and build your confidence across a range of management issues.

Unlike lots of other business psychologists, Hayley has been a public sector manager leading high pressure multi-million pound services. In other words, she has walked in your shoes and can share her tried and tested psychological principles to help you and your team shine.

A successful blend of academic rigour and real-world experience.

Hayley has used her training as an organisational psychologist in the various leadership roles she has held and as a result, she has had plenty of first-hand experience of applying psychological theory to a variety of real life situations.

Since 2010, Hayley has lectured at City University, London, on the Masters in Organisational Psychology – using her experience of leading multi-million pound services to bring psychological theory to life. Her specialist topics are organisational leadership; how to deliver organisational change; organisational values; and power, politics and influence.

Hayley also lectures at Kingston Business School and Coventry University on their Masters in Occupational and Business Psychology programmes. Her lectures include delivering successful organisational change; harnessing performance; and leadership development.

HALO is focused on and fascinated by the factors that enable high performance.

And ultimately, this is the foundation to all that HALO Psychology delivers.

Whether that’s with individuals, through  coaching; teams, using the High Performing Team Snapshot ©; or delivering a programme that helps HR and OD practitioners build on their skills to deliver major organisational change.

We’re also BIG on productivity and performance, sharing our knowledge of tools and techniques with our clients and through our materials (available on this website).

Hayley has received recognition for her work in leadership development, culture change, communications and digital transformation.
